Hi Friends,
so there was that hawk circling over the valley for the last three days, my duckies kept an eye on him, i kept an eye on him and the dozens of crows, living in the area watched him.
Today i saw the crows - hmm - not attacking him, more harassing him (dive-bombing, flock-pecking) until he moved out. Haven't seen him for the rest of the afternoon.
We have many crows living in the area, breeding and raising their chicks here and i have never spent a thought on them, but when i saw them driving out the hawk i began to ask myself if crows might develop an appetite for duck-burger…?
I know that crows will attack and kill ducklings, the internet is full of ugly videos, but my duckies are almost fully grown Indian runners. Are they save from crows?

We have 4ducks, 2white Peking hens, and a pair of ruans. Also we have gamefowl and have never had issues with crows. Many issues with hawks and owls

If they are almost fully, grown, they probably can protect themselves. But, I guess, if they were being attacked I guess they would make some noise. If, I were you, I would still keep an eye on them whenever you see crows flying around and, if you see them getting close to the ducks, I would scare them away. But, that’s only if you really see that they are trying to injure your flock.

Thank y'all for you replies! My duckies are watching the sky very attentively, they're more scared of the National Guards Hercules planes than about the crows. They grew up here to the sound of the crows and those never even came close to the house.
But I like the fact that they drove out that hawk. Found hawk feathers all over my property... Let's see how long mr. hawk stays away.

The crows here make the hawks life much more difficult. They are also an early warning system for the chickens. I've never had a crow attack a chicken or a duck.
