Do crows pose a threat to ducks

Crows would totally snatch a young duckling (or a stray egg) if opportunity presented itself but I encourage them to hang around to ward off the hawks from my adult ducks. Our hawks are sassy and will sit in the tree right by the coop and discus recipes.

I don't think there should be a problem with adult ducks. I watch this youtuber named Matt who runs the channel 50 Ducks in a Hot tub and a few years ago he was having problems with seagulls knocking juvenile ducks onto their backs and ripping them open. I don't think he has ever had problems with crows though...

I've watched some of Matt's videos too, especially when he's rescuing the shrink-wrapped ducklings.

So far today Mr. Hawk didn't show up for work, it seems the crows have fired him.

Yeah I welcome the Crows in the Fall/Winter to drive away the hawks. I shoo them away in the Spring/Summer b/c they go after the baby song birds in my yard.

I welcome the crows...the more the merrier they deter hawks like champs here but a crow won't hesitate stealing a very small chick or duckling if they can get past momma
