For example if I got one Runner and on Muscovie or One Runner and one Campbell would they hang out? Would my duck hang out with my chickens? Or is it better to get two of the same breed?

i mace a mixed flock of ducks and they all get along very well

but runners are very active ducks and I believe scovys are pretty calm ducks so they might bond as well but not sure on the scovy part?

I have 8 females and one male Golden 300 hybrids, 1 Black Swedish, 1 Buff Orpington, and 2 Embden geese and they all hang out with each other. The geese do sleep in a separate pen at night however.

We have quite a large flock of all different breeds, even species (1 chicken, 1 goose and 1 native magpie goose) and they're all friends. they have their own little groups within the big group, but overall they are friendly with each other. The chicken cuddles with one of the ducks, the native goose won't leave 2 muscovies alone and the other goose is best friends with a muscovy and an indian runner. then we have 2 runners and 2 muscovies that stick together, and 3 call ducks, a mallard cross and his wife, a runner, that all stick together. Its definitely a mixed lot!

Not only will they hang out with other duck breeds, they also hang out with other bird species. I raised two ducks, a turkey and geese together. They are all friends, except the turkey (Once he matured) actually went on his own and only follows people now. The duck follows the geese religiously and the geese protect duck from other animals.

However, the chickens were mean to everyone when they were little... I'd like to see those chickens bully a full grown Bronze Broad Breasted Tom Turkey now!

In conclusion, when raised together they were all fine, but older chickens didn't like smaller duck, geese and turkey.
