once i get my new ducks and they start laying (which won't be till next year some time) i would like to hatch some eggs in the bator, but just a small one like one that holds 7 eggs, but i would like too know if the duck eggs would need to be turned in the bator or not? becuase the one that I'm looking at is from Meyer Hatchery heres a link.

but
it has no turner is that a problem for duck eggs? any help would be gratefully appreciated
Please and thank you!

All eggs are turned by the mothers while being satnon, so yes if using an incubator you need to also turn them. ducks also take longer than chickens to hatch, and the time varies with some breeds as well.

You can put an X on one side of each egg & an O on the other & hand turn them an odd number of times a day. I've actually had better results hand turning duck eggs than putting them in an auto turner.

Yep, either way works as long as they are turned. Be sure come check out the duck area here on BYC, great sticky at the top for review.

well that's good, because I found this really cute incubator, but it really expensive but i don't care about that its probably because its good quality or something. Anyway I only want to hatch like a few eggs in the bator for a project, and I want to have a pet duck that i can hand hatch. and when you say odd number of times a day what do you mean? how many times?

At least 3 times a day. You want it to be an odd number (3, 5, 7, etc) so that the eggs don't spend more than one night on one side.

Never tried one of those, but I've read that they're difficult to regulate the temp in. I have three Hovabators & love them.

That is not the best incubator for ducks

go online and find the instructions for this chickabator

if you think that you understand them go ahead and buy it

i rather buy a little giant than that one
