Do EEs lay in the winter?

hmm.png
it is unseasonably cold here. my ee's wont lay, nor any of my other breeds..however my ee roosters don't seem to know the difference... because they r like the energizer bunny going and going, worrying the hens to death........... warmer weather= eggs............. mother nature!!!!!

i have 16 EEs and i get 14 eggs a day from them and it is in single digits here in PA so i think they are doing great

I have several and most started to lay very late- like 8 or 9 months, but they lay right through a molt and all Winter. I get 5 a week out of most of them, and I'm delighted with their consistent laying- give your girls a chance and they'll start- but they are just too young now.

Yes, my 5 EE's are laying very well through the winter. I do supply extra light in their coop at night. Light is on a timer and goes on at 4 and off at 7:30. Two lay light blue, one is green and two lay pinkish eggs. However if you want to know if they lay in the nests, now that is another story, they are always finding some new out of the way place to lay their eggs! They are very shy.

My 6 EE girls just started laying and have been nonstop ever since.

Last year ours kept laying with supplemental lights. This year no lights and no eggs.

Mine did until she was killed by a loose dog. I got an egg every other day from her.

Yes, I have 4 EE hens. One just started laying last week. They were born in May. Now I get 2 brown, one olive and one green egg every day, more or less. The extreme cold doesn't seem to have affected their egg laying schedule.
