Do female muscovies lay eggs without a male present? If they do, would they lay more if the male was present?

Maybe you misunderstood my first question. I'm saying this because you use the word "but" to say they need a drake to get them fertilised, which implies that you would have said that they do lay unfertilised eggs without a drake, which you didn't.No and no. But if you want fertilized eggs, you'll need a drake.
Ducks lay unfertilized eggs. If you have a drake they will lay fertilized eggs if the two mate. You do not need a drake to have a duck lay and having a drake will not increase the number of eggs that the duck lays.
