Do fishers migrate?

My dad finds it hard to believe a tiny rabbit could make that noise and I finally told my mom I looked it up, and she says she thinks it was fisher cats. Like idk, she didn't believe me lol says she's lived here 20 years and never heard a fox scream and now there's fisher cats in town.

So idk, she has a point.

Idk.

I've heard little else that was as hair raising as a grey fox 'scream'.

Had one visiting regularly a few years ago, the first time I heard it I about soiled my pants.
Was lucky to be able to shine a spotlight out back window and see it on top of huge log in back field about 60 feet from house.
Spotlight did not spook it at all and it vocalized several more times while I was watching before it moved on.
It was amazing to see that! It was around all summer and I heard it regularly.

Was very glad to know what 'that noise' was for sure....and now can ID other fox calling and hear them on occasion.
There was another out in the woods this summer but I never saw it.

Wow that would definitely be scary! Glad you got to see what it was though

To me it sounded like a Fox killing a Rabbit......

Cheers!

Thanks! That's good to know!

Google a Rabbit cry....It sounds terrible..Like a Baby crying....very loud....My Cat just killed a Bush Rabbit last week...Your hair stands up on your neck....

Cheers!

Thanks! I'll definitely Google it! My dad says it sounds like 2 foxes fighting, no way a little rabbit could be that loud, but one of the videos we watched was different fox vocalizations, including fighting, and to me the vocalizations don't match up and it seems more a strength test so i doubt thats it but i could be wrong. I'll definitely Google it

But then it begs the question, why have we lived here so long and never heard it?
