Do you know when they typically have promos? This is my first year ordering from a hatchery. I’ve placed orders with Mt. Healthy and McMurray. Meyers sold out of some of the birds I want so I might have to wait until next year to order from them.
Usually end of season in November or December, or January/February. Most hatcheries have newsletters you can sign up for.

I don't know about that, but I've seen some hatcheries that have discounts on "surplus" birds. for example, if you just want Silkies, you can order a surplus deal, and you would get 10 random silkies that maybe aren't the best selling color, or if they calculate for a margin of error and then have an unexpectedly good hatch. usually a bit cheaper than ordering 10 specific kinds of Silkie.
How early? Thanks for this. Meyers has some breeds I want to order. I keep missing the restock email too.
