do hawks come back for their kill if they have been scared away

probably , i have a lot of them here and i watch them try to carry their kill off and cant then come back and try a few times. luckily, they havent got any of mine

Sometimes yes, certainly it will likely come back looking for more chickens. You should confine your birds for a week or so, and the bird may move on.
 
I have her laying where he killed her. Do you think he will c0me back to get her?


Sorry about your chicken, a Red Tailed Hawk killed my White Rock hen and came back after i scared him away, also, 3 other hawks of different sizes kept landing in the tree above my dead hen.

So not only will the hawk come back, but it will bring it's friends. (bummer)
 
do you want it to? it would be best if you got rid of it. you dont need to reward the hawk. that will defiantly make it come back for more
