Do I do anything?

I would remove enough gas that she can cove the rest.
Typogiggles.
Remove enough eggs so she can cover the ones you leave under her.
..and mark the ones she has under her so you can remove any others laid in the nest(if your other birds have access to her nest)
How long has she been broody....and why do many eggs??

Thanks for correcting me, Aart! Or, should I say, thanks for correcting my stupid phone that I'm SURE has a mind of its own! I KNOW I typed eggs. I looked at it. I proofread it. I swear that thing changes words the second I hit send... On the other hand, you never know - too much gas could puff the hen up so she can't pancake on the eggs. Gas removal may be necessary, too.

My phone always changes words! Ugh.

I did remove eggs that were covered in old yolk from a broken one and left her with 6 clean ones. I will candle on Friday and remove as needed from there.

She doesn't sleep in the coop with the others. So she has been collecting them for some time and I found her sitting on them Sunday. Sunday was truly day 1 based on her behavior and when I saw her out and about last.

I will add she has now been consistently sitting on them since then. I didn't think to candle first before removing some. But, I think it is probably better that I kept the clean ones and moved on. I hope. LOL

Yes, that was the best thing to do. (Let’s see if the phone can manage to get it right this time...)
