Do I have a frizzle or a frazzle and how do I help her?

Hello,
I am a little concerned because my frizzle lost her feathers late winter last year and she's still predominantly bald but is finally growing her neck feathers.
All the birds are on chick starter feed because I have 5 little ones.
For snack, I give them all sunflower seeds, corn, and soldier fly larvae.

I had a harness on her for a few months but took it off recently because we got rid of our aggressive rooster and I didn't know if it would help encourage feather growth.
So far she has slowly been growing wing feathers back, neck feathers are reappering, but she is bald on her back, and has been for 9ish months. I feel terrible because she is sunburnt to a crisp.

I am wondering if she was overbred at the hatchery to be a frazzle and if so, what can I do for her?

what temps are too cold for molting birds?

Thank you, all!

I’ve got one just like her and who is also getting her feathers back after having many of them torn or broken off due to a bad rooster. She got worse than in this photo but now she has pin feathers coming in all over the place. She did have a few cuts from spurs/nails but they are healed up.

Just have to wait for the natural molting season and provide a bit of extra protein to help with feather growth. I gave mine (Curly) an ultimatum, if she didn’t get her feathers in before snow flies then I’d cull her. Lucky for her fall in just starting to creep in so she should be fine. Now if only she’d lay some eggs, 1.5yrs old and not a single one!

As for sunburn, I would think after a while she would be smart enough to stay out of the sun for a long period of time but who knows? You can keep her in the shade or inside till the feathers are mostly back but she won’t like that.
