Do I have a rooster? 2 week old SLW

Wondering if one of my chicks is a rooster? Looks different than the others.

Maybe too early to tell but maybe someone on here may have some experience with SLW. Thank you!

Much too young. Post a new pic when it’s 6-8 weeks old.

if i am going to guess i would say a boy, yellow tinge to the feathers.

why i say boy is because i also have SL wyandotte and the breeder who only breeds wyandotte has been breeding for years and years he told me what to look for. i have just hatched a few and it looks like i might also have two boys. its a interesting theory and i am waiting to see if its correct. put a leg ring on this one and keep an eye on it.

agree with @AlleysChicks its way to soon to tell, and you should wait until 6-8 weeks.

Normally it would be too young, but I believe it's an early cockerel, as I see wattles growing in, and comb looks tinted.

this theory that they show grey tinge for girls and yellow tinge for boys, has worked 100% true for me. has made life a lot easier to sex them and separate them into there groups. they are a great bird, but they do tend to go broody, great if you want them.

SLW hens can have a rose comb. Mine does. It looks like your SLW will have a rose comb weather its a roo or hen. Post a picture when it is about 7 weeks old and then we'll know.
