Do i have chickens or roosters??? PLEASE HELP!

You guys are awesome! Thank you so much for all your feedback. I was hoping they were little ladies :) Wont lay till spring though?? That would make them over a year old...is that normal for a chicken to be a yr old before they start laying? they are nearly 4 months now, spring is 9 months away. I honestly don't mind the wait, but is that usually the case or is it just for this breed??

They definately look like girls, and very pretty ones too. Expect lots of eggs these guys are great layers. We have 6 living next door and they often visit for a roam around with my chooks xx

Red sex link hens. Roosters are chickens as well. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Usually you can expect Red Sexlinks to start laying at 18-22 weeks old. However chickens naturally slow down their laying - and some even stop altogether - if there's not enough natural daylight (less than 12 hours). The shortest day of the year was December 21st. With my flocks I've found that they will naturally double or triple their egg production during the first part of February, which happens to be the worst winter weather, so go figure. Summer-hatched pullets and hens that quit for the winter also would start laying the first part of February (for me).

This is a controversial subject, but you can also provide artificial lighting in the early morning so that they are getting a total of 14 hours of light a day. I tried it for the first time this year and it made a huge difference.

both red sex link pullets and should start laying soon but i wouldn't expect eggs till about feb-april...i'm still waiting for most of my bantams to start laying and they are almost 9 months old now lol cant wait till they do will be hatching out babies and selling extra cockerels

What Fred said!
Red sex links, they're female, and from the looks of things they might not start laying until spring. Their combs will get larger and redder and they might get more vocal. Then, you'll go out one day and have nice brown eggs! They're nice backyard birds, they're little laying machines and usually pretty calm and docile.

Agreed!
