Glad things worked out. Sometimes people just aren't on the same wavelength! What she did wasn't right in my book.
A couple of years ago one of my neighbors found out that I liked to deer hunt. I was new to the area and didn't have a place to hunt, so he offered to let me hunt in his woods behind his house (I did not ask). I thought this was outstanding since it was so close to my house, but decided to only bow hunt on the property (since it was fairly close to their house). He told me to let him know when I was interested in hunting. I called him up a couple of weeks later and asked him if it would be ok and he said it would, but that he wanted to make sure his kids would be out of the woods....no problem....I waited til he got home and got ready to hunt. When I pulled in, he met me and said "So, how are we going to do this?" I didn't know what he meant, so I asked. He said, "How do you want to split the meat when you get one?".....uh....that's not how it works! I would have had to spend the time hunting, butcher the deer myself and give him half? I just said that would be fine...and hunted that day, but didn't shoot anything....and never went on his property again. I would have gladly given him some of the meat if I killed one, but to have it expected of me is completely different when I didn't ask to hunt on his property to begin with! Sometimes it takes stuff like this to find out who a person is.
