Mildly concerned two of the ten girls I got this spring are not in fact girls. I got three jersey giants, and I’m adding pictures of the three of them side by side. We also have one confirmed crower 😅

How old are they? The two look like males. :love
They’re about 12 weeks old! I’m not against having a Roo, especially a Jersey Giant, I’ve heard phenomal things about them! Is having two even a possibility, or would I have to likely rehome one of them? I’m definitely not culling a rooster simply because I don’t have the means of keeping him! The two were already having a bit of a standoff this morning.

Very true, I got them as chicks at tractor supply on June 6th, so they’re about 12 weeks old now! I’ll try to take some pictures tomorrow as well.
Ah.. well if that's the case, you probably have 2 cockerels. Pullets wouldn't be that red at 12 weeks.

I'll check for new pics tomorrow just in case.

Edited to add: A typical suggestion is one rooster to 8 hens.

Edited to ask: how many chickens in total do you have? A typical suggestions is one rooster to 8 hens.
That’s what I was thinking. They’re very red, and the tail feathers are significantly longer and curved. I have 13 chickens total in the flock, so I guess 11 girls, as long as these are the only two cockerels!

Thank you so much for all the help

I would agree without seeing more reveling pictures that those are almost certainly cockerels if same breed and age as the middle one
