Do I need a rooster for each variety of chickens or only one rooster?

Edit to add: I'd sell them at $5 each, rather than butchering, unless there's a reason that meat from YOUR chickens is much better than store meat for your purposes.
Actually, I do prefer the meat from MY chickens. :) They have more texture and flavor than what you buy in the store. My favorite method lately of cooking them is in my Instant Pot. Even the toughest bird gets nice and tender. Otherwise, I like to can the meat and make bone broth out of the carcass.
 
I had an old rooster that I had to throw out he was so tough, even the dog could not eat him. so beware.

I have the drill head plucker, and if you can get the drill anchored it really helps, but if I had 19 roosters, and someone offered me $5.00, they would be gone!
