If you don't mind could you read the post above and now I have another question Would having a rooster help with the older hens running off the young ones

No, roosters will not usually help prevent bullying of birds in a flock. A rooster's job is to keep the hens safe, mate with them, and give them food, not to work out their arguments. Older hens always have to show their dominance to younger, subordinate ones. Once the pecking order is established, things should quiet down.
