Do I need pure Ameraucauna Roo to make blue eggs?

Lol...wee indeed!! This was an extremely helpful post. So I need to err on the side of caution and when ready get a cream legbar or true ameraucauna...to get the blue eggs :) thank you so much!!;)
Some of the best blue eggs I've gotten have been from my EE's.
My CCL blue eggs were quite a pale disappointment.
A dark brown layer breed cock/erel (have used Wellie and BCM),
over the CCL are guaranteed olive,
over the EE's it's a 50-50 chance, but might be a nicer olive due to the good blue.

Ok, the eggs you get from your hen will be whatever color they are from her without any rooster being present at all. The rooster does not have a thing to do with egg color of the eggs that are his children. Now, if you breed a blue egg laying hen with a brown egg laying breed rooster, then his daughters will not lay blue like their mothers but the eggs they hatch from will be blue.

Make sense?
Thank you!! Makes total sense!
