Do I need to help these guys, mama is pecking them and making their holes bigger. They externally pipped 29 hours ago and mama is ripping them open

Ok, should still be full from egg yolk. Might just be a little unsteady. Do you have nutri drench that you could add to their water once they start drinking?

I usually just add niacin to their food and they get little treats here and there, and then mama will be raising them outside

Yes. All 4 are growing well, the last one had messed up feet that are still a little sideways regardless of all my constant work, and she’s growing slower than the rest but they’re all doing well, outside in a separate pen with mama.

What a good momma! She’s just helping her babies get out of their eggs. Nothing to worry about with the broody, but you might need to help the chicks get out. They’ve been in there longer than usual
