Do I need to separate male and female quails?

Hi, I have 1 month and a half old coturnix quail and it seems like I have 3 males with 2 females... they have stayed together since the day they hatched, I don’t know what to do... should I just keep them together? Thanks a lot!

Keep an eye on them and have a 'Plan B' in mind in case the males start fighting one another and overbreeding the hens.

In my experience male quail tend to be brutal towards each other.

I would plan to remove the extra males before they reach sexual maturity.

1 male with 2 females, might be ok... I do not know, I never had so few females to males...

Ive had luck with quail bachelor pads, but the females need to be completely out of sight of the males, if males see the girls, they can turn on each other.

Just watch them carefully, if you need to make the distance between them larger, do it. You should be able to tell.

I put a piece of cardboard between the 2 cages... We'll see if that works...
