It is still a little early for orpingtons to tell. Maybe keep an eye on little floppy though.

As far as little nippy, the eyes have always been that way? Do they ever get watery? Can you tell if maybe she is blind or has limited vision?

I just scoured through my photos. It’s hard to tell because I could only tell them apart recently, but from what I can see her eyes looked normal until very recently, possibly only today. I didn’t see them watering at all today, I just kept noticing the weird snake-eye/drunk look she was giving me.

Now I’m wondering how worried I should be, but I can’t think of any disease that would cause droopy/small eyelids? I will test her vision tomorrow before I let them out and get better photos. How strange.

I think Floppy is a cockerel. Anytime Orpingtons are missing their tail I get suspicious.

Here’s the three buff orps. I really need to get standardized photos, the angles and lighting make it very hard to accurately judge them. I’m also seriously wondering if something is “wrong” with two of them.
This is lil Nub. She had a stuck egg tooth that broke off, hence the name. She’s very sweet but she’s got the strangest apple shaped fluffy head, it makes her look very baby faced. This photo makes her comb and wattles look much bigger than they are.

This is Nippy.. she/he isn’t very friendly at all, and it’s got very weird “creepy eyes.” That isn’t just the photo, it permanently has eyelids that make it look.. like this. Comb and wattle are accurate to life.

And then Floppy. Super nice but had the biggest and reddest comb by far.

Terrible photo but you can kind of compare all three here. Floppy is on the left, creepy Nippy is at the top, and baby faced Lil Nub is on the bottom.

If it just started, could be respiratory. Definitely watch for watery discharge.

I asked about the vision in case this was something she has always had; might explain why she is more flighty.

Oh, maybe, just maybe the snake got a hold of her first and started squeezing but she was able to get away? The eyes are a result of the start of suffocation? I don’t know that anyone would know what effects that could have.

The eyes look droopy, like she looks tired. Zoom in on the pic with all 3 and it might be easier to see.
