Do I still need heat for my 6 week old chicks?

I have 2 EE chicks that are about 3 weeks off from being put in with the flock. We have been keeping a heat lamp on them at night because our nights are getting down in the Mid 20's to mid 30's. I am wondering if we still need to keep the heat on them or would it be best to turn it off so they can adjust to the cold?

I'm getting same weather and I only have 4 chicks that JUST turned 6 weeks old. I had to move them to the chick coop at 4 weeks because they kept breaking the heat lamp and jumping out of the brooder! It gets 30-40 down here at night and they do just fine. I still need a new brooder...

if they are feathered out your just making it worse for them when they go out as it is harder for nature to do whats needed with artificially keeping them warmer. My chicks seem to ween themselves from heat before they are fully feathered out say 2-5 days sometimes it it's a late hatch a week. and they adapt much better when they are moved to outside
