Also how long do i let the eggs go before i call it quiets and know they dont stand a chance at hatching? i'm sorry for the fifty millon questions this is just so new to me

I know how you feel. We had three chicks pip yesterday and only one survived hatching. There were three eggs left that hadn't looked good to begin with so my husband just took them out and set them on the counter since it was day 24. Lo and behold a couple of hours later one started peeping. We stuck it back in the bator but it still hasn't pipped. I would maybe leave them in for now unless it is past day 25.
