Do mite eggs stay on feathers a while?

I think feather plucking is unrealistic. Looking at the eggs, I now think they are lice eggs. I’ve been dusting with permethrin weekly and the numbers are decreasing…… my birds would be bare butt if I plucked all the feathers with eggs.

They hatch about 7 days after they're laid

Lol right !! I recently got a Silkie and notice she have have mites and nits were everywhere on here neck area . I was so shock bc I never dealt with mites before . I bathed her dust her with de. Then day 2 I dust her with the permethrin and try the lice comb I don’t see live mite anymore just the eggs stuck to her feathers .
