Do Mottled Lavender Orpingtons breed true?

I have Lavender Orpingtons and Mottled Lavender Orpingtons. I ordered the mottled from Papa's Poultry and the Lavenders are from another place. I have one roo and two pullets for both Mottled and regular Lavender. Will the Lavender Mottled breed true? What if i cross my Lavender roo to one of the mottled pullets in a few months? What can i expect from that cross? Thanks in advance!

If you do the mentioned cross, you should have Lavender chicks. Not mottled lavender.

Lavender mottled breeds true. Crossing a Lav with a mottled lav you get all lavender carrying mottled. That cross bred to mottled lav you 50% lavender and 50% mottled lavender.

Kippenjungle didn't have an option for lavender mottling, so I used red for both parents. Barring is not the same as mottling, right?

No. Barring is sexlinked and dominant. Mottling is recessive. Totally different patterns.
