Do muskovies like to swim?

I have 6 muskovies that are 2 months old. I have never seen them go in the pool like our other ducks. Do they not like to swim?

I've seen feral muscovies at the park near us. They definitely swim, though I notice they don't usually go in the water as much as the other assorted ducks.

Yup! They swim. I think every breed of duck swims..

If you just built it give them some time to get used to it.Ducks are weary about everything.The older ducks might be chasing them out might want to watch them.

Yes, I added a pool to my run that was just like the one they've been using all winter and they still hardly go in it. I bet it's been a month!

I've heard that (some) Muscovies prefer land over water. Not as water obsessed as Mallards.

Hey, at least the water will stay cleaner longer!
