Do my Freedom Rangers need grit?

7 week old freedom rangers that I have in a tractor moved twice a day. I open it up 2 hours before sunset to let them run. We have them on grower feed and everything seems great. Just wondering if I need to provide grit free choice to them in the tractor? I have taken out a couple bowls of grit the last two days and the chooks swarm and empty them in minutes.

I don't provide grit to any of my layers or meat birds. I always figured they pick up whatever they need from the ground while ranging.

I think them swarming when you put down bowls is just a reflexive reaction to another meal and not indicative of a need for grit.
