Do My Roosters Spurs Need Cut?

My rooster, Lemon, has REALLY long spurs. I was wondering, at what length should you cut rooster spurs? Are his spurs too long?

I never cut them. They're effective when they have to fight hawks.

As long as he's not tripping over them and not attacking you with them, just leave them alone.
