This is horrible. Were any of the lost babies bantam breeds? Sometimes they do not thrive because the feed needs to be mashed up smaller for them, otherwise they basically starve despite it seeming like we did everything right. Second, how was the retrovirus from the babies transmitted to the rest of your flock?
