Do old Golden Comet hens change color with age?

Hi, I have a mixed flock. My Golden Comets are 3 or more years old and ageing out of laying. I want to take them to the butcher, but, I don't want to confuse them with my easter eggers, who have some black feathers. Will the golden comets start to grow black feathers as they age? They were always simply a reddish orange. Thanks

Golden comets and most other red sexlinks have dominant white, which turns any feathers that may be black to white. They shouldn’t grow any black feathers because of this
