The alliums; onions, garlic, chives, destroy or damage red blood cells so they lose the ability to carry oxygen. While most of the problems occur in animals, I've been told it can happen to people too. One big dose or several small doses, both are harmful.
Use caution with medications .... albon is a not advised for a while, not sure about other medications for coccidia.
Good thing you posted your diet and good for the poster that noticed and warned you. Even though I think the term is over used, this was a learning experience. You will be extra careful in the future and your birds will be the better for it. Oh- what I'm trying to say is that it's happened, you can't change that so don't beat yourself up over it but don't make the same mistake again.
