I have neighbors that have mean pitbulls that like to try to get to my birds through their fence... I don't trust their dogs at all.

awww. My mother had this happen many years ago (like 40 or more) with her dog-- she wouldn't have thought anything but that pup had run away, except that her neighbor had eyeballed him and said he was "almost big enough to eat"
