DO people think your crazy

Nobody in my husbands family and most people don't understand me they all think i'm a loser because i breed, raise and sell Bantams,Pigeons,Doves.
They look down their noses at me all the time and ask hows your chickens in a snide way.
Most people have no idea what i do when i tell them i raise chickens they always say things like what do you do with them?
Don't they bite and crow all the time and their so nasty how can you stand to touch them?
I had a lady at the feed store ask me aren't they just chickens i never knew there were kinds.

I live in the city and have ducks, what do you think? One older gentleman thought it was so awesome what i do that he wants to buy ducklings for his wife who has Alzheimers. She loves to feed ducks at the park and ducks in their yard would b awesome. But the rest of the neighbors just ignore them. In my neighborhood everybody does something illegal. One has a firepit to close to the house , the other one has ATV he drives on the public road and i have illegal poultry. WE dont rat each other out.

My wife tells everyone it's my MID-LIFE Crisis.

If this is a mid-life crisis, I'm LOVING IT!

Hahaha you and me both! This is what my daughter wrote in an English paper last trimester about me and my "craziness"...

"My Mom's “mid-life crisis” was deciding she wanted to raise chickens and sell the eggs. She purchased 15 chicks, out of which we still have 11 - 10 outside and 1 inside (a special needs Banty she rescued named Quincy who thinks she is a cat and plays with bells.) That was in April and we still have not sold any eggs. We collect eggs and egg cartons and pawn them off on neighbors and friends. If you want any eggs, please let me know.”

They use to think I was crazy till I started making a little money at it. When I got people wanting to buy chicks and eggs now it's gee your really getting your business going.
