Do roosters mimic hens nesting behavior?

No,I am no talking about the courting behavior,I am legit witnessing a mimicking behavior in my three year old manly roosters Zeus.
He has been a great guy and has a huge obsession with nests,showing hens where to nest,showing new pullets where to nests,lobes to court his ladies.But,he does weird things soemtiems that make me think he almost wants to play a hens roll.

Firstly,egg tucking.Out of curiosity one time I gave my rooster an egg while he was in the nest and to my surprise,he tucked it under him as a hen would,broody or not.I have thought of this guy being Broody,but he hates chciks.Although,I am witnessing new behavior.He actually was feeding them egg shells and calling them over to feed,well he wasn’t directing the calls to them but they came,and he didn’t even peck them.He stood in freeze motion letting the chicks peck around!Maybe all these odd behaviors with a few of my hens acting broody but never brooding and even some are beginning to I think actually take things to the next nesting level,but haven’t had any actions,maybe this is triggering his daddy skills.

Besides that I caught him sitting in a nest,no girls around he was just sitting in there.He then removed himself and like he has done once before,he then begins cackling as if he was a hen who was just disrupted,no girls were making any noise there was absolutely no drama.

Anyone else witnessing this or is just Zeus?

Oh yeah, fella here sits on eggs and joins in the egg songs with the ladies. He's really good with the babies too. I joke alot and say he's my best hen.

Roosters are interesting characters! A good rooster will call the hens over, show them food and let them have it! He will show them the nesting boxes and even sleep in them on occasion to prove to the hens it's a good place! My rooster loves to get involved in the "egg song" as well. Singing the same as the hens whenever he can! Sounds like you have a good rooster that will take care of the girls there.

That’s the thing,there was no egg song going on.It was like he was acting like a hen who was just disturbed out of her n st lol.

He sounds so cute.I have a Buff Orpington Rooster,he takes good care of his ladies.He lets the 3 week old chicks eat out of a bowl with him and lets me pet him.Maybe they are a placid breed,i dont know

I have a hen that acts like a rooster, sometimes she goes "ack ack ack" if she finds some food (usually out of the food bowl ) and she also flaps her wings as if she's trying to intimidate me just like our rooster does.

I don't see how anyone couldn't just love chickens

Im only 2 months in so you can imagine how loved up i am
