So I first found this ad titled “Pekins and coloured ducks”. The “Coloured ducks” look to be Indian Runners. I am now interested in getting the two black runners, but I’m not quite sure about there quality as you can’t really see there bodies behind the pekins. Here’s a photo:

I also don’t know if they are drakes or ducks, but I’m assuming the black one with the green bill is a drake. There is also a bit of a deal that if you get 3 it’s $50, otherwise they are $18 each. What’s your opinion? Should I or not get these ducks?

Hi! I'd go inspect them in person. It will give you a chance to look at the overall health of the flock. I got 2 older ducks when they were ~3-4mos old - I looked them over really good before I agreed to pay money for them. Look at their feet too so you know if they already have bumbles started. Some things are minor and you may decide to get them anyway (I call that a rescue :) ) but call it out to the seller and offer to pay less than what they are asking. In person inspection will also make sure you're getting the sex you want - easy to sex by voice vs depending on drake feathers... Did they say how old they are? I definitely see some gems in that group! But I love all ducks so I'd probably want to take them all home LOL. Good luck - keep us posted on what you decide to do - and pics when they get home! :pop

Price seems a little high to me.
Usually ducks like pekins get sold for $20-25 each.
Female muscovies are $20-35 each.
Muscovy drakes $30-75 each.
Muscovy ducklings $15 each.

Ducks are quite expensive, even the most common ones.

Okay, here a huge 12-14 pound Muscovy drake sells for $25-$40, females less than half that, and mature mallard derived are about $10.
