Do these look like wormy poo?

My chickens already ate all the grass in my yard, so I'm not sure where the green is coming from. Maybe leaves from a tree? I saw a couple of these types of poo in my yard today and thought it might be worms. I wormed my chickens in mid October because I saw a worm in their poo. I couldn't worm the chicks because they were only 2 weeks old then. They're 8 weeks now. I know I should probably worm them. Too bad they're so flighty and won't take treats off my hand. I've been waking up at 4am to worm the adult birds. Could I worm the chickens at night before I go to bed instead? Or could I wait until Spring when it isn't so cold?

Some worms can’t be seen by the naked human eye. If you want to know exactly what worms they have, you should do a fecal float. Otherwise, you can also use a broad spectrum wormer. you won’t know exactly what worms your dealing with, but you can hope for the best. what type of dewormer did you use on the adults? And at what dosage?

I used Valbazen. .25ml for the smallest one, which weighs about 3 lbs, .5 for the medium ones (roughly 5-6 lbs) and .75 for the rooster, who is about 10-12 lbs.

I'm actually afraid to pick up the chicks. The mama hen is still protective and growls at me when I get near them. I might just have to make their food into a mash and put some dewormer there and hope they get enough.

The white straight thing about 2 o'clock may be a large roundworm. Worm eggs and other types of worms are usually seen with a microscope.

Looks like a poop from a chicken who is not eating well to me (green can be bile). Is anyone looking off to you? Or can you offer everyone some treats and see if someone isn't their usual self?

A vet could do a fecal float to see if worms are a problem, and what types. Valbazen is gentle and works well again most most except for tapeworms, but it should be repeated after 10 days to get any newly hatched eggs. You can worm your chickens while on the roost in the dark at night after bedrime, or before daylight. I use a red light on a head lamp which does not startle them.

Hmm everyone seems to be acting normal and eating. I did start feeding them 3x a day instead of 4 because I thought I was overfeeding them. Maybe I'll go back to 4x and see if I still see green poo.

Chickens really should be free fed during all daylight hours. Unless they are getting scratch, corn, or other treats, they will normally eat just what they need.

I know but I also cut down on feed because sometimes they don't eat everything and I end up throwing some feed away or it attracts rats. I bought a metal rat proof feeder for them but some of them are too light to access it or don't know how to use it and get too flighty when I try to show them. I'm on the search for a new one that they can easily figure out how to use.
