Do they know?!?

My poor guys/gals are flapping their wings whenever there is a stiff breeze:

It reminds me a little of the Albatross trying to take off in “The Rescuers”. They do know they can’t fly...right?!?

LOL they are cute, My Pekin do that and no way could they get off the ground even if they needed too.

Lol....yeah, she’ll sit there for hours watching them like that. She’s been instructed to watch them. So far, so good!

they are probably trying to fly south? but i think they are confused...

What breed are they? If they are mallard witch they look like they can fly. If they are rouen then they can maybe fly a little.

They are Rouen. And right now, as much as they flapped like that in a good breeze, they can only get on their tippy-toes.

the funniest is when you clip a flying ducks wing and they flap amd flap and just fall over

Also ducks will do it to get there feathers strait and to fling off water....so they might not be wanting to fly.
