This is my first spring with geese and I'm super excided for the first egg. Do they lay strictly in the mornings like my ducks (all eggs done by 9 am) or at any time of day like chickens?
When do your geese lay?

My mother in law has geese. I have not known them to lay at a certain time of day. We have found eggs hidden all over the property throughout the morning and early afternoon even though they have nice, safe nesting boxes to lay in. They are very protective of their eggs.

My Sebastopols lay in late afternoon typically. It can vary greatly though from breed to breed and bird to bird.

Most geese will either lay in the early morning or late in the day. I've found most geese have a strong individual internal clock and will lay every other day at the same time, after her laying cycle is established, which make take some time, especially with yearlings.
