do they look ready to lay?

Finally getting a solid. 3-day from my older pullets and I'm still excited for the other 4 to kick into gear in the next month or so.

The red (s? - not sure if same bird in both pics or two birds) is a Red Sex Link - can you get a picture that shows the dark birds legs?

I was told the darker one was an Americana when I was given her the red ones are the ones I am not sure about

Have 4 Easter Eggers and 2 of them started laying. Could not figure out which 2, so I went behind them and started to pick them up. The 2 that are laying squatted down, the 2 not laying ran. They will start squatting and combs will get red. Good luck.

One of them does this when I touch her my older hens that have been laying do not do this she is the only one out of 7 that does it . Is this what your talking about?

Yay! I can't wait. I have raised these from babies and have been waiting for them to lay lol

Thanks hope yours start soon also. I now have 8 that I am waiting to start lol got 4 new chickens today!! My husband said I am gonna be the crazy chicken lady ha ha
