Do they need to see the vet?

I'm not sure this goes under "Emergencies" but whatever.

I was wondering if my 6-week old chicks need to have a checkup at the vet at all. Or anytime. Just to see how they're doing? I dunno if I have to see the vet at all, just making sure.

No. However, it's a good idea to take your chickens to the vet if they're injured or sick.

That could be fun though.....taking 30 chickens to the vet for a check-up.

Seriously though, i've heard it's really hard to find a vet who gives a dern about a chicken or really knows enough about chickens to properly diagnose them, so you might want to start looking for someone in your area before you have an emergency.
