Do they really think chickens eat that?

It shouldn't be like that here either.

The gal at the service desk was being a snot....until she actually called the person I spoke to.

You know its not about the price .... it says for chickens but contains stuff they cannot eat. Yes scratch is not expensive, but if advertised as feed should be edible to the species indicated.

That is what I should have done. With 31 hens that can get pricey. Still a better option then this junk.

I found my receipt! I called them and I am taking it back.

They said they get that complaint often. :barnie so stop selling it!!

They offered to exchange it or refund it. Seriously the worst scratch I have ever seen!
I don't like the other brands they have either so I will go with a refund.

Thanks guys. I needed to ...
A. Vent a bit
B. Have ya'lls input on what you would do.

:love i am grateful for the BYC community.
The price is the same then it is not worth it . If the price was lower by even two bucks it would be ok . I must say that if you are feeding any kind of processed pelleted feed you would be feeding everything in your picture . Only finely ground .Processed feeds hide many grain by products . All processed feed is first pelleted and then made into crumbles . I realized that most or a lot of members have chickens and other poultry as pets . And like any pet you want to feed the best feed you can afford . I however feel that my time is much to valuable to spend it complaining about and wasting it and fuel to return a bag of feed with corn cobs and stalks in it . You'll get a rough bag of scratch sometimes. Gas alone to return a bag of feed in my truck would be no less than three froths of the cost of the bag of feed . So even though you got a refund you still lost money .And they don't care .I would have fed the scratch but would not buy it again . That is just what I would have done . Not at all saying you did wrong because if you feel that you did the right thing then it was the right thing. Yours is the only opinion that matters when it comes to your pets . I have to compliment you on checking the date on feed purchases . I stopped buying some top name brands because they weren't nearly as fresh as my local producers products . Also changed to another store . Same company just this store moves more feed than the one that is closer to me. The feed is much fresher .
