I was in the coop today and heard a lot of squawking from one of my girls out in the run. By the time I put the girl I was holding down and got out there, my rooster appeared to be dismounting one of my head pullets, Danaerys.
They're only about 10 wks old now. I've noticed that she and a few others her age are getting redder in the face but there's no way they're old enough to begin laying yet. Gallo (the roo) has been crowing for a few weeks now and has been acting roosterish as well... A few days ago, he was doing the "rooster dance" for my top pullet, Snowflake, as well.
Is this a normal time for him to be showing that kind of interest or is he just ahead of normal or what?
TIA
