One of my two laying hens (the other is my ...um... honorary rooster, who has laid a total of 2 eggs in her life) has stopped laying after being regular as clockwork for months. I thought it was because she was getting bullied by my hen-rooster, starting back when my former broody rejoined the group.
But now she's starting to shed feathers in what appears to be an early molt. (No one else is showing signs of molting, yet.) Do they stop laying when they molt?
