do u put a hygrometer in abit of water or not? please answer! :)

    hey, im gunna be putting eggs in my homemade incubator on sunday and on saturday in getting a hygrometer to tell me the humidity but do u put a hygrometer in abit of water or not?

    No, calibrate it as per instructions that come with it and then you leave it so air can circulate. It is to measure the humidity in the air in the incubator, not the temperature.

    It depends. If it digital you dont need to put it in water. I have one with a cloth sock connected to it and it says I have to leave the tip of the sock with water......
