Do we need a treaty with the U.N.

This is going to be quite entertaining. I tend to alienate a lot of people because I'm not in the "GO ISRAEL" camp or the "DOWN WITH ISRAEL" camp, so I'm just going to sit back and watch.

Well I wont say Israel is always right but their not always wrong. Just as I don't think we were right with what we did to the Indians no matter what some people that don't know me think. But I haven't seen one of the people that cry about it offering to give up their land and leave.

FYI no indian languages had a word meaning "ownership". That is a new idea.

As for Isreal it is our ally and we should treat them like one or not claim as such.

The U,N, is a circus and we give them peanuts.

That is not a new concept, most tribes that I know of did and still do have a word and a concept of ownership. I don't know where that silly myth came about.

Being allies should never blind us to the wrong things that a country does. Isreal does not have clean hands and neither does Palestine.

the term "Palestinaian" was never in existance before 1967 until arafat came into control.

as for the indians i am not in the line giving land back, but who really owns the earth anyways?if I have land and I die, does my land title go with me to the grave, never to be sold again? It ticks me off about the genocide of the indians, but I am 1/4 Yaqui Indian and we never lost a battle,or ursurped our powers to the us army.we still have the land we had since the beginning.

as for Israel,im glad they got the gumption to ignore the UN. Im glad they are talking their land back.I want them to take east Jerrusalem back and claim the temple mount again.

so much blood for certain peoples Gods.

Felson: You ever get the feeling God has too many enemies?
Behmen: Being His friend is not so easy either.

Well back in the late '40s we had a choice of ignoring Israel and let the Arabs drive the Jews into the sea or help the Arabs or to help Israel. Well right or wrong we decided to help Israel. The U.K. had already decided they wanted to wash their hands of the mess.
So now we have a choice of standing by a friend or to abandon a friend and tell them they're on their own. Then if the Arabs attack them again then maybe Israel will turn some Arab land into glass. Because Israel is said to have nuclear weapons and I'm sure if the poop hits the fan bad enough they'll use them. Should make for a spectacular light show.

I will admit upfront that I am very prejudiced in favor of Israel so I will try and be careful about what I say regarding Israel itself. First, I may tend to agree with Q9 that we spend a great deal of political time focusing on Israel and from my personal experiences with Israelis they think the same way and would like to become less of a focus. However, regarding the Palestinians my thoughts are much more simple. On September 11 when the terrorists attacked the United States they were so giddy and delighted it was almost orgasmic. Till the day I die I will cheer for every one of their painful deaths and the same goes for every other Arab country that took delight in our being attacked. In picking my friends I am very willing to say that the enemy of my enemy is my friend. My one major comfort about Israel is that from the very beginning they were fortunate to have the support of Einstein, Oppenheimer, Szilard, Teller and even Fermi. Israel was given the plans for making atomic weapons very early and since that time they have made huge advances and now their arsenal and the ability to deliver nuclear devastation is formidable. I have no fear that they would use those weapons in an indiscriminate manner. However, I also have no doubt that they would use those weapons if their very existence were threatened. Unless you have lived it in some personal manner (as I have) you have no idea of what the phrase "Never Again" means and how much it has been burned into the lives of every Israeli
