I hope your right duckdad, I can see it sometimes and I am not a pushover, but I tell you he has put some nice bruises on my legs. Yesterday i was sitting out there with them and here comes Opie walking around behind me getting ready to attack me how i can tell he is getting ready is he holds his wings out some and makes his noise, , I picked him up and held him on his back and he just lays there and lets me talk to him and pet him. Then when I did that a few times and put him down he walks away like everything is hunkydory. Then he'll start again. Once I pick him up he is not the least aggressive. And I have tried the waving my arms and moving towards him it doesn't work very well. He usually just stands there and lets me walk over him. Tonight just before putting him to bed, He started messing with me and I put the broom between us. Then my gander came and made him move away. He is not the dominante duck in the yard My 8year old drake is or is now, we'll see what happens when mating season starts up. I just hope he doesn't get worse than he is now, my grandkids are coming for the week after Christmas and they haven't seen him since he was a week old, it will be interesting to see how he acts around them. And thats funny about the neighbors bratty kid, I have threatened my youngest grandson with my gander before because he likes to tease the animals. And it makes me so mad. Why do kids have to be that way?
