Tonight as all my peas were feeding before dark, one gave a distress call fom the pasture. Immediately, every peacock not in the tree already, lined up and took off to see what was wrong....I followed and watched as they lined up in some sort of formation. Then I saw a fox in the pasture. They took off after him and chased him off the property. And if that wasn't enough, the crows helped too. After he left, they came back to their tree for bed, walking in single file. It was a truly amazing experience. It reminded me of the scene in Witness where the Amish come home after the boy rings the bell. These are free range birds and they stick together. People think animals don't know anything and yet they helped the peacock in need. Fifteen peacocks were too much for that fox!
