Keene's coop :
i believe. my story goes:
about i year after moving into my 100 plus year old house, i felt a presence in my basement when i was alone. it just felt like someone was watching me. no big deal. as the months went by it felt like it was getting closer to me, just watching me. few more months go by and it started to follow me up the first set of stairs to the landing which leads out the house. it has never gone beyond that landing. i never felt threatened about it. and i got the feeling that it's an older man, probably someone who passed away in the basement. as the months went by, this "thing" started to make me feel a little uncomfortable. so if i was in the basement doing laundry, i would go as fast as i could to get back upstairs. about 1 year ago, "it" got worse. as i would go up the first set of steps, i got that feeling that "something was trying to grab my ancles as i was going up the stairs and it scares the crap out of me. it still does it today. so now i DO NOT go into the basement unless my husband is home. i don't care if laundry needs to be done. it will wait till he gets home.
second story
last fall, my husband turned our duplex back into a single family home. stairs were already there, just had to knock out the closet walls. we have 3 girls upstairs and my youngest is 4, long blond hair with bangs. one night i got up around 2 am and passed the stairway and noticed something from the corner of my eye. so i stopped and looked and it was a little girl, looked just like my 4 year old peeking around the corner. i said her name and she said nothing back. just kept looking at me. i couldn't see her face though. said her name again and nothing. so i looked away to turn the stair light on, looked back and she was gone. so i went upstairs to check on my daughter and she was sound asleep. i KNOW FOR SURE it was not her because when she goes up and down the stairs, it sounds like a heard of elephants. she stomps her feet going up and down the stairs. after that night, i never saw her again. but i still have "it" in the basement. so i'm going to the courthouse to find out the history on my house. i can't wait to see what i find.
I also get that feeling when I go into the basement. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. But I think it's just me scaring myself.
Although one time I was downstairs getting something from the kitchen and I heard a shuffle sound on the hardwood floor...sounded like someone had taken a couple steps. It was so plain and clear that I believed it was my brother coming down for something before bed. Looked around and nothing was there.
