Do You Believe in Ghosts?

I guess its hard to know where the soul goes right away after death (I know where people WANT it to go, but I mean immediately following). If it goes to somewhere in the "time fabric" until it goes further, maybe that is why so many people see deceased loved ones.
Since my sister died, there have been inexpicable (sp?) occurences (more of them anyway) in my parents home. There are times I go down in the middle of the night and can hear her, as she used to, talking in her sleep. Its disconcerting.

Maybe there are some areas where the time fabric is thinner? If there is, I bet the place I grew up is one of them.
Plus, remembering my sons experience with everything seeming blurry/wavery. He did say he felt if he walked into it, he wouldnt be at the relatives place any longer.

Energy could make a shadow, and if condensed enough it could be a solid looking shadow. Think about gas fumes coming from the pump and you can look to the side and see the shadow of the fumes on the pavement by your car. Condensed energy from a body in another dimension through a thin fabric of the space time continuum COULD make a shadow in our percieved time...theoretically anyway. Possibly a time overlap, possibly just a thinner part of the continuum. I think maybe the consistency of the "fabric" of the spacetime continuum could be variable and produce anomalies like "shadow men." Like I said the possibilities are endless.

If time is in fact continuity of past, present, and future, then your sister IS still there just not in the same physical dimension, and very much alive and continuing to do all the things she did while she was alive because her life is still happening just not in the same dimension as yours right now. That would also explain to a lesser degree the belief in reincarnation, just with a twisted sense of how the spacetime continuum works. Maybe some of those folks are just more sensitive to the effects of the spacetime continuum on a daily basis. Anyway..her energy has to be displaced to have died here. Only the physical as we know it dies. The Bible states that we are "asleep in the Lord," but nobody know what that means. I find it comforting myself, others think it's creepy

I know I would prefer to only die once

Cindiloo, now I wonder why more people cant see the possibilities???? Are they afraid to look at things that closely because it feels "safer" not to?
FrizzlesRule, YES, ghost hunters!!! I have it on now.

Not in the classic sense, but I do believe in demons. I believe demon spirits can appear as different people, things, etc.

People don't want to see the possibilities, because the possibilities would make them desire to live their life as if it meant something besides the center of self, and that's way too much trouble for some folks. The world might no longer revolve around them anymore...and that's scarier than seeing a ghost!

So maybe shows like GH, when they get evps are communicating with another dimension....thats mind boggling but interesting.

The voices arent generally really loud, which makes sense if they are coming through a "curtain"....

Yeah..more like a filter than a curtain. Maybe like when you pick up a bad radio station in the car because your so far away the transmission is garbled due to not just the distance but obstructions. Maybe some points in our fabric of time have less obstructions. I have wondered too, if the "fabric" moves around us so that we never really percieve it, like living in a bubble...

Cindiloo, I tried to read an interesting book called The Physics of Christianity. It was very interesting but waaaa....aaay over my head. The author talked about different dimensions. His name is Frank J Tipler. You might be interested in the book

He referred to God as the singularity.
