Do you consider crows friend or foe???

I think crows and ravens have regional differences. Ours seem to have enough food even in the winter. Although they roost just yards from our house in 100+ ft white pines they never bother any of the free ranging poultry. They never even approach any of the bird feeders, or the compost pile??????? They fly off at dawn and return periodically, and at dusk.
Go figure!

I love the protection from hawks so much that I have bought several fake crows and move them around my yard where they are visable. I also bought a fake owl since hawks don't dig them either.
I'd rather feed a few crows then have hawks killing my friends.
I hate hawks with a purple passion.
